WHOO!!! NEW RECORD!!!!!!!!

WHOA. NEW. FREAKING. RECORD.

14 new blog posts within the last 36 hours.

I'd just thought I'd point that out.

I'm proud of you awesome Sparklers. You're all so awesome. :D

By the way, a little advertising for your fellow Sparklers:

I hope I get this right:
Rachel got a new blog, apparently, which is currently lacking in followers:
and I suppose Gabi can use a few more followers as well:

Here's hoping you all don't let your blogs die again. Having more followers and having people leave comments on your posts make it more motivating to continue writing. Let's keep the blogosphere alive! :D

And as I'm going to guess most of you are getting out on Thanksgiving break already/soon, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! :D I know you Sparklers at the top of the list of what I'm thankful for. (okay, in light of the holiday spirit, I'll say it. Even you Hannah.)

That is all. Keep blogging! :)

Bye. :)

Why I Hate Adi

By the way, happy birthday, Adi!

Good, now that that's out of the way, I can move on to the point of this post. Ahem. Four score and seven years ago, a great war erupted between the evil hanini_panini and the cute innocent little skysquirrel. The terrible war, which often involved nuclear weaponry, rages fiercely on to this day, kind of like Adi's house, which is on fire right now. (Word of advice Adi, check your birthday candles before you light them to make sure they're actually candles, not sticks of TNT.) Anyways. In a feeble and ill-planned attempt to palliate the situation, the corrupt Judge Adi sentenced Hannah and I to 72 hours of not insulting each other, with the penalty of writing a 300 word essay about the opponent's good qualities if one should fail to not insult your opponent. Naturally, this directive is about as possible as trying to hike up Mt. McKinley and back in 72 hours, trying to swim at 65 miles per hour (104 kilometers per hour) through peanut butter, trying to keep 30 college boys in a dorm and tell them to not get drunk and not poo in the showers, trying to eradicate communism in a way that puts McCarthy to shame, trying to eat a pizza and three large rocks in one bite, trying to swallow fire, trying to get 100% on your calculus final exam, trying to swallow fire while getting a 100% on your calculus final exam, being accepted into every single Ivy League school with full scholarships, and trying to not hate Adi, all at once. Not very possible, is it, especially if it's around two in the morning? So, um, yeah. Here's the stupid penalty. 300 words about Hannah's good points. Here goes the impossible.

THIS COUNTS AS A VLOG, SMALLS.

Now stop bothering me. Because this actually counts as two vlogs. I mean, ahem, was I yelling? Sorry. I didn't mean anything. :)

Today. the. most. epic. thing. happened.

Well, no, not really. I'm probably overexaggerating. But I found this computer lab on campus not far from our place that's really epic. It's quiet and comfortable, with sofas and tables and bookshelves and a huge TV that's at least 50 inches, and like twelve Mac computers. It doesn't seem like many people come here; it's not as crowded as the libraries and other more popular places, and it's quiet enough that you can hear yourself think. You can probably hear a pin drop, if it wasn't for the carpeting. Anyways. Besides being a potentially awesome secluded high tech study room for us, the reason this place is so epic to me (besides the name: it's not called something boring like "computer lab." It's called the "Digital Playroom." OOooOooohhhhh...) is because the computers are loaded with software - basically, Adobe Creative Suite 4 software. I've really wanted to get the software for myself, except for the tiny problem that CS software costs anywhere between $400 to a couple thousand. It seems that this lab is loaded with CS4 Premium, which probably runs in the thousand dollar range and includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, and AfterEffects, to name a few that I'm particularly interested in. Finding this lab is really useful to me now because I can do cool stuff, and not have to pay hundreds to get the software for myself since the school provides it. :D The usefulness of Photoshop is given; I can make more awesome-looking things than those cut-out name portraits I posted on Buzz not long ago for a few of you. Illustrator is cool because I can draw stuff with it, AfterEffects is for movies and stuff, I can probably figure out how to do greenscreening and make some pretty cool stuff, and then, oh, Flash. Flash. Epic. I learned how to use Flash in graphic design class last year. (Sad to say I didn't learn it epically well because most of the time I was on the OTs rather than working on the assigned work.) :D. But here's a sample of what you can be able to do with Flash. You might be able to tell why I'm happy to find a lab with this software now. :)

I won't bother being modest this time: these simple looking videos took me ages to make. :P I guess they say you'll get better as you practice. I'll be a pro one day. But until then, since you're already here, leave a comment!!!! Comments make me happy. :)
